Dentures for a better smile and improved health

Nobody looks forward to wearing dentures, right? In fact, many people who have lost most of their teeth look forward to chewing, talking and smiling normally again. We fit full, partial and implant-supported dentures at our clinic, and your consultation is free.

Benefits of wearing dentures

If you still have enough healthy teeth, it is usually best to keep them. When you no longer do, dentures can make a real difference. Patients tell us they:

  • Chew more easily
  • Eat healthier foods
  • Smile without embarrassment
  • Live without tooth pain

When is it time to get dentures?

Timing matters. You do not want to remove healthy teeth, but you cannot stay healthy without enough working teeth. Your dentist will explain your options, but the decision is yours. Consider:

  • How many teeth are already missing?
  • Do you have uncontrolled gum disease?
  • Are your teeth often infected or painful?
  • Are your remaining teeth loose or shifting?
  • Can you chew healthy foods?
  • Are you embarrassed to smile?

How denture fitting works

If some teeth need to be removed, we first take an impression of your mouth so a temporary denture can be made. At the next visit, any remaining teeth are removed and the temporary denture is placed while your gums heal. We then take new impressions for your permanent dentures and make any adjustments needed for a comfortable fit.

Implant-supported dentures

If you worry about dentures slipping, or do not want the roof of your mouth covered, ask about implant-supported dentures. They are held securely in place by dental implants, so you can eat and talk with confidence.

FAQ

Questions about Dentures

Is the denture consultation free?

Yes. Consultations for dentures are free. Additional fees may apply for diagnostic procedures.

What is the difference between full and partial dentures?

Full dentures replace all the teeth in an arch. Partial dentures fill gaps when some natural teeth remain and clip onto them for support.

Can dentures be held in place with implants?

Yes. Implant-supported dentures attach to dental implants, so they stay secure while you eat and speak.
