Yonge & Front Dental is pleased to offer the iTero® intraoral scanner. This advanced technology lets our dentists see high-quality images of your mouth and detect problems that may threaten your oral health more easily.
How the iTero scanner works
The iTero scanner creates three-dimensional images of the inside of your mouth. It captures up to 20 full-colour images per second, which makes it easier to tell healthy tissue from problem areas. The images are used to make appliances that fit and work better, and the scanner can even simulate the results of your treatment.
A quick, comfortable scan
We gently move a small wand around your mouth. The images are processed as we go and saved every two seconds, so you do not need to sit through a second scan. The result is a complete, highly accurate model of your mouth, without the goopy impression material.
Made for Invisalign
iTero Element scans are designed to work with the Invisalign system, so you can preview your new smile before you start. Its TimeLapse feature compares scans over time, showing tooth wear, movement and gum changes on screen.
